GOP complaint against Horner rejected by campaign finance board

The Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board rejected on Wednesday a complaint filed by the Republican Party of Minnesota a day earlier. The board said it did not have jurisdiction to investigate the complaint, Bill Salisbury reports.
The GOP is alleging Independence Party candidate for governor Tom Horner illegally accepted a campaign contribution in the form of a poll released by Decision Resources, Ltd. The CFB said the law the GOP is complaining about is not one that the board can enforce.
The GOP will refile their complaint with the Office of Administrative Hearings.

Oh, now, this is rich. The GOP is going to challenge the law forbidding corporate contributions? The same law that may be moot in view of the Supreme Court ruling? The same overturning of the law that has Republicans salivating because it opens up a whole new source of open funding? I can’t wait.

So the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board can’t investigate a campaign contribution? Hilarious.
