Klobuchar cracks up Iowa Democrats

Amy Klobuchar had the crowd laughing as headliner at last weekend’s 2010 Iowa Democratic Party State Convention. The Minnesota senator has been making a name for herself for her humorous anecdotes at speaking engagements. Of Minnesota, she said, “Our women are strong, the men are good looking, and — you can ask Al Franken about this — all the recounts are above average.” Also, “You’ve had people like Barack Obama speak or Hillary Clinton or Bill Clinton, who I like to call… my warm-up acts!”

Her jokes to the Washington press were better, but her speech was spot-on.
