Bachmann mentioned in new DNC video about Barton apology

That was quick. The Democratic National Committee has already made a video out of Rep. Joe Barton’s apology to BP CEO Tony Hayward this morning for the Obama administration requesting a BP-funded escrow account for long-term clean-up in the Gulf of Mexico. Rep. Michele Bachmann gets a mention by a CNN figure who describes the Sixth District Republican as being among “tea party spokespeople” who oppose the fund. On Tuesday Bachmann called the $20 billion escrow fund a “redistribution of wealth fund,” although she seems to have toned down that rhetoric — slightly — more recently.
Since testifying this morning, Barton responded to the growing outrage over his statement.

“I think BP is responsible for this accident, should be held responsible,” Barton said. “If anything I have said this morning has been misconstrued to an opposite effect, I want to apologize for that misconstruction.”

The GOP apology tour.

If they could only think about something besides attacking Democrats.

Some people will absorb anything that feeds their rage or prejudice. The great “unwashed” anti-intellectuals.

Why is Bachman still a candidate? The folks in her district should be ashamed!
