Clark knocks Bachmann for out-of-state travel

Tarryl Clark’s congressional campaign criticized Rep Michele Bachmann Friday for her out-of state-travel schedule, including this weekend’s trip to Denver. Clark challenged Bachmann’s assertion that she spends “every weekend” in the district, noting that the 6th District Republican spent 40 percent of weekends in 2010 so far year at conservative summits, conferences and campaign fundraisers.
Clark a quote by Bachmann in The Hill in which Bachmann said she’ll spend the summer break “doing parades, going to community festivals and fairs and just being in my district with people — I’m there every weekend, but this is really hometown time.”
But Bachmann has attended out-of-state events on 13 of the last 28 weekends which included four trips to California, two trips to Iowa and one trip each to Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee, Florida, Illinois and Maryland, according to the Clark campaign’s tally.
“Despite the Congresswoman’s repeated claim that she is in Minnesota every weekend, she spends part or all of nearly half of her weekends out-of-state headlining rallies and attending big money fundraisers,” said Clark’s campaign manager, Zach Rodvold, in a statement. “This may pay off for her campaign, but it doesn’t pay off for her constituents. The people of the 6th District deserve a Representative who will put them ahead of a personal agenda — and that’s Tarryl Clark.”
Shortly after Rodvold’s statement, Bachmann released her own statement touting meetings with St. Could business leaders on Thursday.
“The biggest obstacle facing these businesses is uncertainty. That was the case when I held my jobs forums throughout the Sixth District in May, and it still resonates today,” Bachmann said. “Small businesses are being hit especially hard as a result of the Democrats’ new health care bill in the form of greater health care costs, ineffective tax credits, and higher compliance expenses. With unemployment close to 10%, we should be making it easier for businesses to grow and operate, but instead we’re making it much harder.”
Tonight, Bachmann will give the keynote at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, which also features Michelle Malkin, Dick Morris, Tom Tancredo and Dennis Prager.

Wow!! Michele sounds an awful-lot like Gov T-Baggs. It’s easy to be an Armchair Representative as long as you have The FAKES News monopoly on your side.. The 6th district loves Michele not because of her legislative accomplishments (which is next to NOTHING!) They love her because she’s a FOX created MOVIE STAR!! I fear for good people like Tarryl Clark in the 6th.. She is totally qualified and willing to actually WORK!! I have some advice for Tarryl so she can win the 6th.. Give your soul to Jeeeesus!! Let BP into your Heart and support the McChristian lobby and Wal*Church.. Then you might win..

Since elections are won by the votes of low information voters this might just be the way to unseat the Evil Queen of St. Cloud. She is vulnerable as you can see by the propping up she gets from out-state conservative interests and Fox news. I think the bucket of water is based on: Let’s have a local representative that represents us instead of this Bachmann woman who has gone all Hollywood. Bachmann does nothing but preen for the cameras. We need a representative like Tarryl Clark, who is a hometown hardworking woman that reflects the values of our counties. She’s not the type to pander for headlines and try to make money on being famous. Tarryl Clark instead will be trying to help the district get needed bridges and projects done. We pay taxes but with a do nothing in office like Bachmann all our tax money goes to Republican Districts in the south with Michelle cheering it on.

If you took all of the spackling compound and paint off of Michele.. 1. She would be 30 lbs lighter 2. the sight would be pretty horrific..

But if we actually expected Michele to do her job, that would really cut into her travel schedule and appearances on Fox.

“giant mouth with a woman attached to it.” That’s quite a comment from a guy(?) who’s leading mouthpieces are Coulter, Malkin, Bachmann, Palin, etc. Or am I missing something?

Yeah. What you’re missing is if I had Clark’s mouth full of quarters, I’d be a rich man. The others? Not so much.

If she thinks Thursday is part of the weekend, then she has been in DC too long.
“The biggest obstacle facing these businesses is uncertainty. ”
The biggest problem these businesses face is a shrinking customer base. Decades of getting the short end of the stick has taken it’s toll on “consumer confidence”, and all the anti-labor policies in the world won’t rebuild that confidence.
When was the last time Bachmann bragged about helping someone at the worker/consumer end of the economy?

Would taking in 23 abused kids as foster children count?

Probably not since they’re not unionized.

“Would taking in 23 abused kids as foster children count?” Not if she did it for the welfare, Dennis. And we don;t know they were abused. In fact, we know except what Bachmann herself tells us about this. Just like Sarah Palin’s baby.
