Bachmann calls for constitutional conservatives to free ‘nation of slaves’

So when Tarryl Clark runs an ad criticizing Bachmann for calling Americans a “nation of slaves” will she deny that too?

There is serious talk about electing Bachmann speaker of the house if the republicans take over congress. She has become that powerful in conservative circles. She makes Newt Gingrich look like a liberal weenie.

Bachmann as Speaker would be forever a gift to the Democrats. Her stupidity, venality and spotlight chasing alone would offer citizens a real insight into the shallow end of the gene pool where republican leadership thrives. She is famous for some outrageous comment, off the cuff, which proves to be a lie she has to back off of later, then insisting that even though the lie is on videotape, it never happened. Even the GOP isn’t dumb enough to put this vile creature into a position of power.

Does anybody really think they would make this nutjob the speaker over more entrenched, equally out of touch with reality asses like Boehner?

Unfortunately, Michele is correct. We are indeed becoming a nation of slaves…enslaved to ever-increasing government regulation, ever-increasing government control, ever-increasing taxes and ever-dwindling freedoms. Anyone who has been alive for a while can see it all around us.

To Greg’s point, taxing a man’s labor at over 50% (which is where we’re heading), where someone else (the government) is benefiting more from that man’s labor than he is, is not unlike being a slave or at least a sharecropper.

We have the lowest taxes since the 1950s, and as for dwindling freedoms and increasing government control — that happened during the eight years of W’s presidency. Government regulation has become less, which is why we have had all these crises lately — banks failing, oil dumping into the gulf, etc. Republicans are so stupid, but they still have their useful idiots to spew their talking points for them.

You know, she IS speaking the talking points of a lot of Americans right now. However, she is a POLITICIAN, just like Obama. Look where his “promises” have taken us. There really isn’t much “choice” in this farce of a two-party system, and ultimately, even Mrs. Bachmann with her Constitutional rhetoric is going to answer to many of the same corporate thugs, bankers, and union bosses that put Obama into office.
