Another Bachmann staff shakeup

Rep. Michele Bachmann lost a top staffer and a fundraiser on Tuesday. Ron Carey, formerly the state GOP chair, resigned his position as Bachmann’s chief of staff over the 4th of July weekend. Also leaving is Bachmann’s campaign finance director Zandra Walcott.

Bachmann’s office sent this statement to Politico: “Congresswoman Michele Bachman thanks Ron Carey for his service to her and to the district and wishes him the best for his future. Effective August 1st, she also welcomes Andy Parrish back as a Senior Advisor to the Congressional office and expects a smooth transition that will continue to put the needs and priorities of the 6th Congressional District first.”

Carey declined to get into specifics about why he left Bachmann’s office, but told the Star Tribune, “I’m very proud of the campaign team and the congressional operation. There’s been some tremendous progress made in the last five months.”

On Wolcott’s departure, Bachmann’s campaign manager Gina Countryman told Politico: “Congresswoman Bachmann thanks Zandra for all of her service and looks forward to opportunities to work with her again in the future.”

Bachmann’s office has seen a lot of turnover in recent years. Carey was Bachmann’s fourth chief of staff in less than four years.

Her office and campaign saw major changes in late 2007, early 2008, late 2009, and in February of this year.

NONO,

Thanks for the classic sarcasm in your post. You’re right, Bachmann’s revolving door does reveal a devastating lack of vision, teamwork and strategic direction. Constant churning can never result in positive change, and as you so eloquently affirm, we want real change that we can believe in.

I wonder if Mrs. Bachmann has brought home – in terms of federal funding for needed projects – as much money to her 6th District constituents as she has raised in cash for her personal promotion as a conservative celebrity?

She has raised more than 4 million for herself – almost all of it from outside Minnesota.

From what i read, 6th District constituent interests are far down on Michele Bachmann’s list of priorities. Her top priorities seem to include making wild accusations about President Obama in front of friendly audiences on Fox and in conservative group meetings, while shaking down those conservatives for money.

Mill, Mrs. Bachmann is a republican. As such, she’s not evaluated by how much taxpayer money she can abscond from the treasury to spend on her constituents. She’s evaluated on how much taxpayer money she can save by voting against wasteful spending. Foreign concept to you, I know.

Dennis.. Wasteful spending to you guy’s are what the Dems consider the “Bare Bones” of civilization.. Teacher’s, Cop’s, Fire Rescue, Streets.. When it comes to fighting wars for OPEC then you guy’s are all about flushing money down the toilet.. Wasn’t the revenue from the Operation Iraqi Liberation [O.I.L] supposed to pay for these wars??? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA !!! Like OIL companies are gonna pay for the War that they started.. That would cut into their BOTTOM LINE!! Michele Bachmann is not gonna have ANY of that!! Paying for that War is gonna be up to you and me!! Let’s give BP and Exxon a TAX CUT!! That’s how we do it!!
