Based on the two new campaign ads released yesterday you’d be forgiven for thinking Mark Dayton is running against Gov. Tim Pawlenty. The first, titled “So Much,” is targeted at seniors and criticizes Pawlenty’s cuts to government services. The second, “Forged,” hits Pawlenty for what the Dayton campaign says are cuts to education. The ads began to hit the airwaves on Wednesday, the campaign said.

The only possible explanation for Dayton trying to get away with these blatant lies, is he thinks you’re stupid.

Just to pick out one for now, education spending, Dayton’s ad says that Pawlenty educaton spending $1300 per student. That’s not true. It’s UP over $500 per student during Pawlenty’s tenure.
