you sound as if you are lawful good whatever law is in place must be upheld for the greater whole to save lives and what not (what i expect those officers whom raided this home to be) however is it not possible that too many rights are being violated don’t get me wrong I’m all for upholding the law and working with law enforcement but not if it means “certain unalienable rights” are alienated granted that if what you say is true i mean REALLY true (not just somthing in a vauge police report to make things seem bad) then these people had it coming but if what you say is wrong then everything you stand for being a patriot for your country is only being taken advantage of for greater power control in government on our everyday lives

a balance is what is needed and that “balance” is being off set by our government

did you know that in the constitution it states it is the responsiblity of every citizen to over throw a government that alienates its people why i say this is because its illegal for you to do nothing about your government when it takes advantage of anyone under its law

Do any of you read the newspaper, listen to the radio, watch TV or have the internet? You call yourselves thinking people? This group is known to be violent, like a lot of leftist groups that use moral equivalency to justify violence and murder. The point is not that they have those materials, but the likelihood that they will use them to injure and kill others. If you aren’t a member of any of these groups, the chances you will have a warrant issued to search your house for these items is almost nil.
As far as America becoming fascist, the further left we go will ensure that through so called fairness actions, i.e. the Fairness Doctrine, designed to squelch conservative talk radio. Forcing religious organizations to accept morally repugnant actions, i.e. abortion and homosexuality, and repressing any public religious display is here already, even though it is really unconstitutional to do so. To those making any money at all lose 1/3 of it to government that keeps growing by leaps and bounds in the name of compassion, when there is really no compassion in government. It is only a faceless entity designed to restrict your rights. But…. you’re entitled, right?

kevin, apparently “incriminating evidence” includes maps and photographs. americans have (had…) the right to peaceably assemble before this ass-clown bush made everyone so furious that they had to set up “free speech zones” for protests miles from where anyone can see them.

it really bothers me to think the government might try to make you sound like a criminal for possessing:
->bottles and jars
->photographs and maps of your city
->bleach
->nails and screws
->duct tape
->puppets
->a non-empty kitty litter box

and that they can just grab any digital media in your house.

they’re just making it worse, making more people more angry by doing shit like arresting amy fucking goodman for fuck’s sake. i’m not some thug looking for any chance to make trouble, but our government is completely out of control. how do they expect thinking people to react?

It seems that few of the posters here have any sense at all. Just because something is on a warrant doesn’t mean that you are going to be arrested for having it. When most business get raided (for what ever reason) the warrants include PC’s not because its illegal to have PC’s but because you might have incriminating evidence on your PC. Same with an X-box which can be used as an electronic storage device.

A fictitious example would be storing schematics for building a bomb on an X-box and then FedEx it to someone in America, while its not illegal to ship X-boxes I do believe that shipping schematics for making a bomb is illegal (although I could be wrong, but this is just an example). Now I’m not saying that these people should have been raided, in fact I find it highly unlikely that the police will find anything illegal. But come on people use a little common sense just because a warrant allows police to take your X-Box, PC, cell phone doesn’t mean you are going to be arrested for having those items, they are simply going to look for incriminating evidence on those items.

Seriously use a little common sense, PLEASE!

The right/left paradigm is to keep us little people scurrying about while those of true wealth and power suck us dry. The federal reserve is a crime pure and simple. Google "America Freedom to Fascism" on that topic.
