Did Pawlenty just make his first 2012 presidential ad?

Tim Pawlenty released a new autobiographical web video that was ostensibly produced for his Freedom First PAC, but its content appears aimed at establishing Pawlenty’s presidential persona. The ad does not have any particular pitch to it, but rather presents Pawlenty’s story, introducing him to a national audience who may be unfamiliar with the Minnesota governor.
The video starts by introducing the rest of the country to what matters for Minnesotans: a governor who can effectively use hockey metaphors. The ad then details Pawlenty’s childhood in St. Paul, focusing on his ability to relate to people with economic worries. The video closes with the tag line, “History Is On Our Side,” as inspiring music plays behind Pawlenty’s explanation of his political philosophy. The video is heavy on nostalgia, with images of the founding fathers, troops in World War II, a mournful Ronald Reagan and the launching of the Apollo mission are all flashed while Pawlenty gives his closing speech arguing for a return of conservative governance.
Pawlenty is openly considering a presidential run, and will be in Iowa this weekend to campaign for local candidates. Since the new ad is online only, it will likely been seen by the diehard political followers only. But though it won’t be seen by most voters, it provides Pawlenty with an opportunity to test his message, and start the process of crafting the narrative of his potential campaign.

1960s picture of Timmy’s DEMOCRRATIC mother and father – union member truck driving father, I might add.
Ad shows Tim for what he is: BIG TIME SELL OUT.

Just last week Tim was bragging about what he did to the bus drivers. Had them begging to go back to work. Fascist – You could look it up.

Yeah Timmy didn’t have time to try to work to resolve the 45 day bus strike…but he did have time during the strike to speak to the big anti-gay rally at the capitol.
