They want to symbolize the high cost of fuel and the burden it has brought them. Using more fuel to protest seems a little off. If the truckers want to show how much fuel prices will put them out of business, walk the protest course. This would be better suited to show that fuel costs have put them out of making any money to support themselves or their families.
