Poligraph: Bachmann’s claims about state aid ‘not true’
Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 11:36 am
Minnesota Public Radio’s fact-checking service, Poligraph, analyzed recent statements by Rep. Michele Bachmann concerning $26 billion in state aid just signed into law. Bachmann said the money will be ‘laundered’ to Democrats through public employee unions. Poligraph examined the bill and determined Bachmann’s statements to be false.
“Bachmann’s claim implies that state aid will literally be used to pad Democrats’ campaign-funding chests,” said Poligraph. “But that’s not true. The money will go to states, not unions.”
Poligraph continued, “Bachmann is wrong to say that the state aid will be ‘laundered’ through public employee unions and used to help reelect Democrats. In fact, the bill is clear that the money can only be used to keep teachers on the payroll.”

Bachmann made a inflammatory, dumb, and false statement? I’m shocked.

Yes, Rob, she did. The sad part is, it won’t matter. The mouth-breathers that line up to elect and re-elect her will not believe any proof that she is wrong, or just won’t care.

“It was a lie, of course, that it would not hurt a bit. But since adults always said it when it was going to hurt, he could count on that statement as an accurate prediction of the future. Sometimes lies were more dependable than the truth.”

i have come to believe what ever Michelle bachman says is misconstrued or false she makes so many statements that when you fact check her she is usually wrong so i never ask a question of her office until i know the facts and at this point i have given up to even ask a question she is in my district but where is Michelle that’s what i would like to know we have received no help from her in our district and it shows because of all the job loss foreclosures and a whole lot more, she will leave her district in shambles when she is done independent voter ray

Tarryl Clark offers Minnesota 6th voters a choice to be represented by someone who has integrity, works hard for Minnesota families, and deals in reality, facts, pressing needs of citizens.
We’ll still hear plenty from Michele Bachmann – she loves celebrity at least as much as Sarah Palin, and is a likely star on the conservative media tour once she is returned to private life.
So the best of both worlds will result – strong competent sane representation in Congress (with Tarryl Clark) and plenty of political entertainment, as Michele Bachmann continues offering her zany political commentary … but without the danger that she’ll obstruct effective government as an elected official.

I live in her district. She didn’t come back to hear her constituents. She had staff, but not personally. On the rare occasion that she made appearances, she made it invitation only or sharply limited questions asked of her. She doesn’t answer to her constituency.
