As Gustav bears down on the Louisiana coast, let’s pause to remember how John McCain and George W. Bush spent McCain’s 69th birthday on August 29, 2005, the day that Katrina struck Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. Image from the White House website, via Americablog.
It’s now official, per Fox News, that Bush and Dick Cheney will not be in town tomorrow.

If you haven't been there yet, check out Greg Palast's “Big Easy to Big Empty” under the direction of filmmaker Matt Pascarella on REALNEWS.COM this morning.
When will this administration be indicted for criminal intent in the Katrina disaster?
They always say, the criminal usually is in the rim of the crowd after the disaster they created, after the crime has been commited. As bystanders at the 'rim of the crowd' now, where is Bush, Cheney ? …but they are not anonymous and they are responsible. Will anyone nail these fellows and the dozens of others? There is only one sad answer to that question…NO.
Only in America, folks?
