In first TV ad, Pawlenty heir Emmer calls for ‘a new direction’

Republican Tom Emmer has released his first television ad in the 2010 race for governor. In ad, entitled “Work,” Emmer says of his family, “We’ve been blessed. Seven beautiful kids living in this amazing state. Minnesota families are struggling. We need to pick ourselves up, create jobs and get our economy moving.” Emmer closes the ad by saying, “It’s time for a new direction” — even though Republican Tim Pawlenty has been governor for the last 8 years (and Emmer’s opponents have been trying to tie him to Pawlenty). The ad buy will be $300,000 and the ads will run statewide.

Tom Emmer has a nice family but isn’t he exactly the wrong guy to be talking about a “new direction” seeing as he’s been behind the “old wrong direction” for some time now?

He’s saying “nude erection.” I don’t understand how no one else is hearing this. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.
