Updated: A new television ad by Rep. Michele Bachmann used the Minnesota State Fair logo without permission, MinnPost reports. State Fair Officials said Bachmann’s campaign “did not get our approval” when it used the logo twice in a campaign ad attacking DFL opponent Tarryl Clark. Fair officials are asking Bachmann’s campaign to cease using the logo.
Bachmann’s ad includes “Jim the Election Guy,” who says that Clark voted to raise taxes on corndogs, fried bacon and beer. The ad uses the fair’s logo twice.
According to MinnPost, the Minnesota State Fair is investigating what action to take.
State Fair marketing manager, Brienna Schuette, told the Minnesota Independent on Tuesday that they are calling on the campaign to stop using the logo.
“The Minnesota State Fair logo is trademarked,” she said. “We have contacted Michelle Bachman’s office and campaign manager to end the unauthorized usage of the Minnesota State Fair logo.”
She added, “The State Fair does not endorse any candidates running for office.”

Unauthorized use of other people’s intellectual property has become standard operating procedure for the republican party.
Where’s that “personal responsibility” principle the republicans keep talking about? Or does that not apply to them?

When you lack the creativity to come up with fresh ideas on your own, stealing another’s work is a tempting option.

I agree with Ol’ Whip. The Republicans do lack creativity, have no fresh ideas and are stealing everything they can get away with because that’s all they’ve got – nothing. The Republicans have sold their souls to the big bag corporations.
Follow the money; all these treasonous actions are funded by the corporate elite who are buying our government. The Koch Family Foundation have ulterior motives that include eliminating the government, usurp it with anarchy and to turn Americans into slaves. David & Charles Koch (Koch Family Foundation) are funding right-wing media whores, the tea party and other faux groups through their foundations; for example: Americans for Prosperity (AFP).

our Attorney General must be hard up if the only thing they have to do is to investigate Bachmann ad. Why do you not spend the time dealing with criminals. As usual the liberals what to spend time and money on something worthless as usual. Why don’t they spend time creating jobs instead of spending money.
