Hatch, Klobuchar With Leads in SCSU Poll

Democrats Mike Hatch and Amy Klobuchar hold wide leads in their races for Governor and U.S. Senate, according to a poll released by St. Cloud State University.

The poll shows Hatch leading incumbent Republican Tim Pawlenty, 46% to 36%, with 6% supporting Independence party candidate Peter Hutchinson, and 7% undecided.  Hatch’s 10% margin is the largest Hatch has held in any poll.

In the Senate race, Klobuchar leads Republican Rep. Mark Kennedy by 25%, 56% to 31%.  Independence party candidate took 3% of the vote.

The poll was conducted October 15-27, and surveyed 499 likely Gubernatorial and 494 likely Senate voters.  The poll’s margin of error is 4%.
