Press Conference turns to shouting match

A press conference called by several groups who support Republican challenger Joe Gimse’s run against Incumbent Dean Johnson (DFL) turned into a shouting match on Tuesday. The new PAC called West Central Citizens for Freedom held the press conference and said that when Johnson switched parties he left behind issues of concern to SD13. He claimed the conference was to “set the record straight” about Johnson.
The Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Live and other groups spoke criticizing Johnson’s votes about abortion rights and the marriage amendment along with the Taxpayers League of Minnesota attacking Johnson for “tax and spend” legislation.
Then questions were allowed.
