Klobuchar Maintains Big Lead

Hennepin County Attorney Amy Klobuchar looks to be in a strong position for victory on Tuesday according to a new Minnesota Poll.

Klobuchar, a Democrat, leads Republican Rep. Mark Kennedy by 20%, 54% to 34%.  Independence party candidate Robert Fitzgerald receives 4%.

Klobuchar leads across nearly every demographic, leading among men and women, and all age groups save 35-44-year-olds. The poll is in line with a series of other polls that have shown Klobuchar with a double-digit lead.  According to Pollster.com, Klobuchar’s average lead over the five polls preceding this was 16%.

The poll surveyed 1,027 likely voters between October 31 and November 3.  It has a margin of error of 3.2%.
