Bachmann’s new ad ditches ‘Jim the Election Guy’

Rep. Michele Bachmann released a new campaign ad late last week that attempts to tie DFL opponent Tarryl Clark to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The ad is Bachmann’s fourth, and is the first ad to forgo “Jim the Election Guy.” Titled “Your Team,” the ad says Clark cast a tie-breaking vote for a tax increase in the Minnesota Legislature this spring. In addition to Pelosi, the ad also tried to tie Clark to President Obama.
Bachmann’s “Jim” ads, which featured Maryland actor Beau Peregrino, got Bachmann in trouble with the Minnesota State Fair (for using its name and logo without permission) and fact-checkers (who found her claims about Clark to be lacking).
Here’s Bachmann’s latest ad:

“I’m Michele Bachmann, and I lie in every message.”

I wonder if Misspeaker Michele will ever say anything about herself. All I am hearing from her is lies and malice.

I’m still waiting to hear what Bachmann has done in four years in Congress and four in the State Senate. The fact is that the only reason unemployment is so high is because 1) Bush, deficit spending for the Iraq War and Bailouts for the banks and 2) Republican opposition to every proposal Obama and Democrats have had for reducing unemployment and the deficit. Want to drive the country over the cliff and into a Depression? Vote for Bachmann. Promised to get absolutely nothing done.

So does this mean we’ve seen the last of “Jim?” I thought he was going to be around during the campaign season to help us figure a few things out. He hasn’t helped me figure out anything thus far. All he has done is provide me with more questions, such as what does Michele do as a Congresswoman?

Did that say, “435 billion dollars” with a caption that said, “$435,000,000.00″? Because we’re off by three orders of magnitude here. Congresswoman Bachmann, you should probably see this video.
