Bachmann out with fifth campaign ad attacking Clark

Rep. Michele Bachmann released a new television ad on Tuesday attacking her DFL opponent, Tarryl Clark. The ad is the second this cycle that doesn’t include “Jim the Election Guy,” a point that the Clark campaign made hay out of on Tuesday afternoon. The ad hits Clark for supporting health care reform and “benefits for illegals.”

Bachmann’s political advisor Andy Parrish said in a statement, “Voters should ask Tarryl Clark whose side are you on? Her record shows that Tarryl Clark is on Nancy Pelosi’s side, and would be [sic] rubber-stamp for the Pelosi/Obama government-knows-best agenda.”

The Clark campaign issued a statement and video in response to the ad. “Michele Bachmann is up on the air with (yet another) attack ad today, and for the second week in a row, ‘Fake Jim’ the Election Guy is nowhere to be seen,” wrote the campaign in a fundraising pitch. “It seems to be official: Bachmann’s Fake Jim is off the air. People in the 6th District weren’t buying what Fake Jim was selling. No longer will he mislead Minnesotans, or attack Tarryl for supporting policies that Bachmann also supported. Despite his challenges with the truth, we’ll all miss Fake Jim.”

The campaign issued this “memorial” to Jim the Election Guy after Bachmann’s first non-”Jim” ad came out:

Mrs. Bachmann sure is big on put-downs. But put-downs do not solve problems, or bring us together as one nation. Saying mean things about opponents, Democrats, liberals, the President – Michele Bachmann has them all covered …. with her verbal slime

I prefer politicians who offer their positive agenda for the Mn 6th district and the country.

Too bad Michele Bachmann doesn’t have any positive record to run on, anything positive to offer on her agenda should she be re-elected. Promising to investigate the White House relentlessly is not a positive agenda.

Fortunately, Tarryl Clark does have a positive agenda and the temperament to be a highly effective representative for the good people of the Mn 6th.

ROTFLOL!!! Tarryl’s friends have a great sense of humor.

Bachmann is still defying the law by putting her ad approval at the beginning and not the end. No learning curve, that one.

She still has said nothing of substance in any of her ads either. When does she start running for office?

THE RESPONSE TO “JIM THE ELECTION GUY” WAS BRILLIANT. A SIMPLE PRIMA FACIA STATEMENT USING HUMOR REALLY HIT HOME. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!.
