Clark, Bachmann and Dayton launch new ads

Rep. Michele Bachmann, state Sen. Tarryl Clark and DFL gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton all released new ads on Wednesday. The House race featured attack ads — Bachmann gives Clark an “F,” while Clark says Bachmann should be outsourced — while Dayton’s ad touts his years as Commissioner of Economic Development for the state of Minnesota.
“The letter F. It’s Tarryl Clark’s favorite letter,” Bachmann’s ad claims. “F is the grade Clark received from the truth squad for her political attack ads.”
Clark’s ad says Bachmann “protects tax breaks for companies that send our jobs to countries like India and China.”
Dayton’s ad says that as commissioner he “helped many businesses get started and expand and as United States Senator he worked hard to bring jobs to Minnesota.”

Although I hope Clark wins, she’s really running a terrible TV ad campaign. There is so much dirt available on Bachmann and she’s not using anything that makes folks sit up and notice.

I do NOT agree with the smear/dirt slinging that appears to have re-reared its ugly head. It is so Karl Rove era and should be dead in the water. We the People should be able to listen to an ad without hearing how bad the other guy is- tell us what YOU the candidate are going to do – each candidate is running on who can dish the most dirt on the other guy. We need to know where each candidate stands and be able to make an informed decision. However, the Karl Rove tactics of the past have been to smear, smear, smear to the point where everyone is sick and tired of hearing the garbage dished by either party that they fail to go out an vote. Rove was able to get GW elected using those tactics during GW’s first bid for the big house. It worked. People, we should be a little bit smarter and less led by tacticians that want to keep their good ole boys status quo and continue to line their pockets.

The Truth Squad Bachmann references in her ad is actually the “Tea Party Truth Squad”. Not exactly a reputable source…
Why doesn’t Bachmann site stuff in her ads? Clark does. You can actually look up the things she’s saying and fact check for yourself.

Kevin: You don’t have any “Dirt” on Bachmann. All your side has are disagreements over policy, with a skewed, slanted misrepresentation of same. From Abortion to Free Enterprise and Constitutional Limited Government, and Freedom of Religion. The contradictions are massive, indeed, overwhelming, on the liberal side, where we see the reality of their lack of civility in every ad. And then just ask how many democrat Congressmen are being allowed by the media to get away with asserting public fiscal integrity ….because after they just pushed through $3 trillion+ of wasteful UNFUNDED porkulus spending attempting to bribe the electorate…then they vote for PAYGO? And we are supposed to believe that they are suddenly deficit hawks? Where is the outrage? And Taryl Clark is one of the main reasons for the State of Minnesota’s budget imbalance.
