Bachmann, Cravaack, Minnesota’s Future launch new TV ads

In the final two weeks of campaign 2010, a flurry of new ads: Rep. Michele Bachmann has brought back “Jim the Election Guy,” also known as Beau Peregino, an actor from Maryland. Minnesota’s Future launched another pro-Emmer ad despite the investigation into its funding practices, and Chip Cravaack is on the air with an ad criticizing his opponent, Rep. Jim Oberstar.
Bachmann’s newest ad criticizes her opponent, Tarryl Clark, for going negative in her campaign — then goes negative on Clark for voting to raise taxes. It’s the first time in a month that the campaign has used “Jim the Election Guy,” a character that prompted Clark’s campaign to produce videos featuring men named Jim who, unlike Bachmann’s Jim, live in the district.
Minnesota’s Future launched a new ad criticizing health care reform. “If you oppose Obama’s health care plan,” the ad says, “then you have one good choice, Tom Emmer.” Minnesota’s Future is being investigated by the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board after a complaint was filed by Minnesota Common Cause.
Cravaack launched his first ad in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District attacking Oberstar for raising spending and voting for health care reform.

I’ve watched Oberstar on You-tube and especially in the televised debate he looks like someone who has overstayed his usefulness, has complete disdain for and impatience with his constituency/audience, and is actually suffering from dimentia.
