Poll: Bachmann is GOP favorite to take on Klobuchar in 2012

Public Policy Polling released results of a survey on Monday showing that Republicans overwhelmingly support Rep. Michele Bachmann to take on Sen. Amy Klobuchar in 2012. Of eight theoretical Klobuchar opponents, Bachmann got the top spot with 36 percent of Republicans. Bachmann’s support came mainly from conservative GOPers. A poll by PPP last week showed Klobuchar would beat Bachmann by 54 to 39 percent.

Bachmann led the pack of eight theoretical Republican candidates at 36 percent with Gov. Tim Pawlenty getting 20 percent followed by Norm Colemen at 14 percent. Rounding out the pack was Rep.-elect Chip Cravaack at 7 percent, Tom Emmer at 6 percent, Rep. John Kline at 5 percent, state Rep. Laura Brod at 4 percent and Erik Paulsen at 2 percent.

The vast majority of the those sampled identified as conservative — 74 percent — with only 25 percent identifying as moderate and 1 percent as liberal. 42 percent of conservatives picked Bachmann. The next highest pick was Pawlenty with 19 percent. Moderates liked Pawlenty, however, at 26 percent.

The poll’s takeaway message: Minnesota Republicans are conservative and they like Bachmann a lot. But, PPP also says that Bachmann would have a harder time beating Klobuchar than other Republicans. Last week’s poll showed Klobuchar beating Pawlenty 53 to 43 percent, Coleman 54 to 40 percent, and Paulsen 52 to 34 percent. But, Klobuchar beats Bachmann by a larger margin, 56 to 39 percent.

Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling, said, “In the Senate race, Amy Klobuchar should be praying that the GOP rallies behind Michele Bachmann.”

So what does this poll show us?

Conservatives are brainless, probably controlled by some alien force and most importantly completely un-American.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar is well liked and respected throughout Minnesota. Her favorables are in the high 50%. To whereas, Bachmann’s UNfavorables are as high as Klobuchar’s favorables.

Again, Michele Bachmann has accomoplished NOTHING in Congress to even boast about other than her NO votes and her media celebrity. What has she done for the 6th CD that has impacted the lives of the constituency for the better??? What has she done to address Home Foreclosure, Job losses, and other issues affecting residents in her District?

If this were to come to fruition, it would be a hard hitting Prosecuting Attorney with numerous wins versus a so-called Tax Attorney who doesn’t understand between Gross Revenue and Net Income.

I hope she does run. It would be a good win for Klobuchar and it would free up the 6th district.

Wendy

That was scary.

From that link:

“And while it is true that few participants in the Christian Right Culture War want a theocracy as proposed by the Christian Reconstructionists, many of their battlefield Earth commanders are leading them in that direction.”

battlefield Earth commanders?

What did I tell you. They are among us! Could our dear Ms Bachmann be a cyborg too? Could there be more than 1 of her. That would explain all the TV appearances.

Chayanov mentioned the 6th Congressional District. Minnesota will undergo re-districting next year, I think, based on the 2010 U.S. Census results. Though our state will still have 8 districts, the people have moved around.

If Rep. Bachmann does run for the Senate, it will be proof that she is not only crazy, but stupid. I thought she had enough brains to realize that her flock was concentrated in the 6th. For her, a statewide run would be not so much a defeat as an expensive public humiliation. Surely, she has to realize that.

Bachmann is neither alien nor cyborg. She is Pokemon! Yes, you heard right, folks! Bachmann, also known as the Conservative Pokemon, is the hitherto unknown legendary Pokemon living outside Ash Ketchum’s bedroom window.

Go figure.

Michelle would crush Nanny-state Amy. Their differences couldn’t be clearer.

Klobuchar wants the government to regulate every aspect of your life.
Bachmann wants you to be free. Whether you want to be free or not.

Dennis back away from the keyboard. You are now past delusional and need bed rest. While i could think of nothing that would make me happier than to see Ms. Bachmann go up against arguably the most popular politician from Minnesota since HHH, to think that Michelle could win shows a deep misunderstanding of mathematics and the planet Earth.

The differences between Amy Klobuchar and Michele Bachmann are clear.

Amy Klobuchar actually WORKS for the people of Minnesota. Bachmann works for her self interests. To hell with the people of Minnesota.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar and State Sen. Tarryl Clark were instrumental in getting Federal monies to help with the reconstruction of the DeSoto Bridge in St. Cloud, when Michele Bachmann refused to lift a finger. Bachmann did her best Marie Antionette impression, “let them eat cake rather than bread.”

“Amy Klobuchar actually WORKS for the people of Minnesota”

A patriot wouldn’t judge a representative by how much money she can remove from the treasury to satisfy your desires, but how hard she works to protect your right to be free. If you WANT to be free, that is.

When you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on the support of Paul. Amy’s a good robber. By 2012 the people will be chasing down democrat politicians with pitchforks.

Amy Klobuchar does not serve her self interests like Michele Bachmann does. Nor does Amy need to plaster her face all over TV as Michele does. When Amy Klobuchar speaks, she makes sense about the issues and chooses her words carefully.

Michele Bachmann uses words like “insurrection”, “gangster government”, “Anti-American”(to describe House Democrats), “re-education camps(America Corps, which her son is a member),and other idiotic phrases to gain attention. Which also draws the ire of many in the Republican Party. Which is why she did not get the Leadership post in the House she wanted. Michele Bachmann is too much of a loose cannon.

Yeah? So why does Amy insist on wearing that Groucho Marx mask?

Real classy, Dennis. When all else fails, insult someone’s personal appearance.

Of course, that’s all you have, isn’t it? For reasons best known to you and your psychiatrist, you have taken up the role as a defender of the most repellent, anti-American member of the Minnesota congressional delegation. You cannot make anything even remotely approaching an argument in her support–all you’ve had so far are some pathetic cliches that sound like the kind of things you would see if Fox News printed fortune cookies. Those aren’t working for you, so you fall back on an unimaginative schoolyard-level taunt.

Your kind deserves Rep. Bachmann. It’s too bad the rest of us have to deal with her, too.

Man ..(politicians)… Created God . (Sorry Christians, Muslims and Jews!) God is a good excuse to fashion a religious philosophy into a political philosophy .. That Religious mind warp is why our Founding Fathers decided to Separate Religion and Politics..( Read the First Sentence of the First Amendment you NUTBALLS!! ) (PRAISE our Founding Fathers !!) They knew what the HELL they were doing!! Can you imagine being burned at the stake or being purified by drowning??? After Bush, all of you Neo Christio freaks like Bachmann would prefer Torture and Death to a court system that is fair and just…… It’s the “Christian” way.!!!

What little shred of reality and decency in this country is being gutted by these cowardly little Republican Tea Bag freaks and Korporate Amerika!! BTW!! We ALL slithered out from the ocean and before that we were ALL created from stardust!! I just wish that all of you Republican Tea Bag NUTBALLZ could EVOLVE with the rest of our bio – sphere .. It’s like your brains are frozen in Primordial Ooze you Dumb Asses!!

As far as Amy K is concerned.. She is WAAAY too right winged for me .. However she would be the lesser of two Evils.. I am still contemplating weather or not to vote for ANYONE!! A Pro Corporate Dem vs a Pro Corporate Republitard.. Is THERE A DIFFERENCE???? They both have Limo Drivers and Personal Chefs.. In reality is there a difference ?? I fear that Citizens United has created a ONE PARTY COMMUNIST REGIME in Amerika. Hmmm who to vote for??

I am sitting ON MY HANDS IN THE NEXT ELECTION! LIKE I DID WITH “Republican” BILL CLINTON!!! Sorry Amy.. Fu<k You Bachmann!!

Why is it that Bachmann supporters are unable to comment in complete sentences?

Do it, Dennis. You and your IR buddies go ahead and run Crockmann. She just raised her congressional payroll by 16 per cent. Good luck convincing the Tea Party folks you hoodwinked in the recent election that Michelle baby cares one bit about “reducing the cost of government”.

Why not run Emmer the drunk against Klobuchar? After all, that’s what repubs want..another overfed, entitled right-wing hypocrite.

Who believes any poll that PPP puts out? It is by far the worst and least reliable polling survey. Michele Bachmann would win a race against the snob-o-crat, it is just funny that liberals do all their trash talking on websites and the media, while conservatives do theirs at the voting booth. Go Michele!

Now that Republicans will controll the House I want to see how many bills Bachmann authors are passed by Congress. She loves to point out the “high” cost of government, and favors lower corporate taxes, but won’t name one governement entitlement program she favors cutting. It’ s very easy to refuse to work with the majority and refuse to compromise to get something done but now that she is a member of the majority she needs to demonstrate leadership and govern. And that means tangible accomplishments beyond her knee jerk positions. She’s going to look awfully stupid citing things like a presidential trip costing 200 million/day which is totally disproven by any neutral news organization. She may raise a hell of alot of money but that doesn’t change what she stands for—partisan polarization cause by her tendancy to lie and refuse to acknowledge when she does it. When you’re “hot for God” I guess in her mind it’s ok. And that’s not a slam at Christrians only the ones who use the Bible to support their political beliefs and then demonize the opposition.
