Norm Coleman was having a rollicking good time between RNC floor speeches Wednesday night with Fox’s Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes — bragging about dropping the Xcel’s first puck and tearing into the Dems — until talk turned to Sarah Palin’s husband’s 1986 DUI. That’s when Hannity launched on pols like Sen. Barack Obama whose decades-old drug use is detailed in his memoirs. For a moment Coleman — whose former roommate called him out as a hypocrite last year for backing laws against a drug (pot) he says Coleman used in college — suddenly looked blank and had nothing to say. Another network’s interviewer might have smelled blood, but Fox has treated the topic of Coleman’s drug use with kid gloves before, and Hannity (and Colmes) let the moment pass.

Be glad that Republicans have found the backbone to stand up to the community organizer lobby!

Coleman's past drug use is of little concern. What is of concern is the hypocrisy he demonstrates on issue after issue. Those Minnesotans who voted for Coleman have only themselves to blame. He is a phony, a power-hungry fiend and a clown – all of which adds up to a US Senator that Minnesotans must be extrordinarily ashamed of. We can only wish that when his term is up that its finished.

Norm Coleman seems like the kind of guy who used a lot of heavy speed back in the day. he still has that jittery sensibility and a paranoia that is all to familiar to those who were Dexedrin fiends. In all liklihood, he used a lot of downers in order to get some sleep from time to time. Its a vicious cycle, but hey – we all gotta ride the wheel any way we can.
