Reps. Michele Bachmann, Keith Ellison and Betty McCollum voted against a resolution on Tuesday that would continue federal spending for the next three weeks and avoid a government shutdown. The resolution passed with the support of both Republicans and Democrats. Bachmann opposed the bill because it did not defund health care reform while McCollum and Ellison have opposed it because of defense spending they view as wasteful.

“I voted against the CR because it did not include language to defund ‘ObamaCare,’” Bachmann told her Facebook fans.

Rep. Erik Paulsen explained his vote for the continuing resolution in a statement:

“Today, my colleagues and I took another step forward in curing Washington’s spending problem and removing the barriers to job creation. However, we cannot continue to limp along two to three weeks at a time; we need leaders of both parties to put an end to short-term thinking and work to pass long-term budget solutions.”

Reps. Collin Peterson, Tim Walz, Chip Cravaack and John Kline voted for the continuing resolution which will keep the federal government operating through April 8.

Bachmann is a joke. Can no one republican compromise EVER?! It seems like the Dems are always compromising! Keep on trying to keep all the money to yourself you stupid righties. Watch our country keep failing as the work you have done in the previous 10 years has done nothing good for any working family.
