Poll: One quarter of Minnesotans think Bachmann qualified to be president
Friday, May 27, 2011 at 8:26 am
A SurveyUSA/KSTP poll released on Thursday shows that only 27 percent of Minnesotans feel that Rep. Michele Bachmann is qualified to be president. Former Gov. Tim Pawlenty fared better among Minnesotans, with 55 percent seeing him as presidential material. Both Bachmann and Pawlenty lost in a matchup against President Obama here, however, an indication that if the election were held today, and either were the GOP’s nominee, neither would capture their home state.
The poll found that Obama would beat former Pawlenty in Minnesota 48 to 43 percent and Bachmann 57 to 32 percent.
Pawlenty had a 3 percent favorability deficit in Minnesota with 35 percent viewing him favorably and 38 percent unfavorably. For Bachmann, that deficit was a whopping 27 percent.
Pawlenty announced on Monday that he is running for president after more than two years of speculation. Bachmann is set to announce her presidential plans in her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa, sometime next month.

No wonder Bachmann keeps calling Iowa “home” these days. Not wanted in MN.

27% of Minnesotans therefore are likely incapable of even a minimum level of thought.

Then 1/3 of MN populace needs some kind of mental therapy…….seriously…..her? ……I can’t even compare her to Sarah Palin….the both of them are like Constipation and Diareaha…..they’re BOTH Equally bad and depending on which one you have, one always seems worse then the other when you are going thru it.

Is she also supportive of the Corporate Tea/ Ryan request holding aide to disaster victims hostage unless they bleed the 98% more while protecting the tax cuts to the top 2%, oil subsidies, and corporate dutch sandwich banking and outsourcing of USA jobs?.
How are we, when strapped, giving over $3 billion tax dollars a year to Isreal to have about 3/4 come back to make weapons and when that means the defense industry must promote continued aggression and bloodshed- Never Peace- to keep the profits rolling in?
Is she still looking to cut vets costs to the US – but not defense industry?
Is she part of the Corporate Tea plan to make USA a 2 class nation again? mostly low wage, no bennies workers and a small but powerful elite? Can she point to any of her past politics or future ones that protect/support The USA middle class and poor vs the profiteering and Corporate greed that are pushing us back to pre-industrial revolution conditions?

I’d like to remind everyone it is technically called the TBaalParty as in the golden calf story of their Biblical playbook.
It is important to get the name right.
There should be some stone tablets coming down in god’s penmanship too, could be cool to see if anything got redacted.

Usually politicians have their strongest base of support in their hometowns. I’m proud to say that here in her former hometown of Stillwater she could only muster 37% of the vote when she first ran for congress in 2006. She still has never won a majority of the vote here. After six years of ignoring local concerns in the state senate in favor of right-wing social engineering attempts we knew she was not a serious public servant.

Dang! When politicians brag about the wisdom of Americans I always cringe and worry about those in the 27% crowd and others.

That’s 27% too many. You have to wonder what these people are drinking.

Like W said, “Never forget – at least half the population is below average intelligence.”
Now we know for sure how to find out which ones are slaves to their own ignorance.
I don’t mind people who are dumb, but I sure hate dealing with people who are deliberately dumb by choice.

The optimist in me likes to think of it this way: Almost 75% of Minnesotans don’t think Bachmann is qualified to be POTUS.

It seems that it was a good idea to get the flock out of Minnesota ten years ago. It’s gotten downright stupid up there. Unbelievable. 1/4 of Minnesotans think Bachman is a viable candidate? That is just sooooo sad. If you’re getting sick of the Minnesota Stupid which seems to have replaced the Minnesota Nice over the last couple of decades, c’mon out to Oregon. We’ve got tons of progressives and with a few more, we could have legal bud. Poor, Minnesota. Got hit with a moron bomb. Damn shame.

I agree with you 100% on the Republikan Dung Bomb that has splattered our State ..There are those of us here in MN. that are yearning for an enlightenment.. Hopefully it happens after the 2012 elections..

@John,
I suspect Michele wants to unload that area through redistricting and expand her voter base around White Cloud and Blaine. Expect lots of lobbyist directed Koch money toward this goal.

Listen to her and you have to wonder whether her church cloned and brought back to life Eva Braun.
