Following successful debate, Bachmann tops new 2012 poll

Rep. Michele Bachmann led the pack for the first time in a Zogby poll of Republican primary voters released on Tuesday. Her presidential campaign appeared to get a jolt from last Monday’s successful GOP debate, and the new poll reflects a surge for the congresswoman whose official campaign is a week old.
In the poll, Bachmann got 24 percent of the vote, ahead of Herman Cain and Mitt Romney, who each got 15 percent, the Washington Times reports.
Though Bachmann is well liked among Republican primary voters, they don’t expect her to get the nomination. Only 7 percent predicted she would win, while Romney — who has led most polls — is predicted by 37 percent of GOP voters to win the nomination.
Bachmann’s performance at the first GOP presidential debate was widely considered to have helped her campaign. A Rasmussen poll released last week following the debate showed Bachmann surging to second place with 19 percent. She had previously been polling in the single digits.

She also tops searches for finding my blog. Getting slammed by people nationwide googling for “Michele bachmann sexy/hot” pics- plus some nsfw searches for her. Americans – she’s married! Just because she looks good on camera doesn’t mean she’s good for America- or that she will go home with you to meet your parents.

My oh my, if she of Big Hair and Bad Makeup becomes President we can expect Bradlee Dean as Secretary of State or possibly Defense and lurch back to the 17th century or beyond.
Buy some goats, we’re going back to traditions like slitting their throats on the slab rock and purchase some colored chalk for the cave walls. This woman wants to reboot society as we know it.

If by some small chance she getting anywhere in this bidding process, she will be crucified by everyone with a working brain. My god! This woman has said and done so many crazy-nut-job-type-things, she would not survive anyone looking into her past.. Even the UK Guardian just did a piece on her and her absolute, crazy homophobia. That might play well with the Bible thumping crowd, but I can’t imagine it would work well for the majority of voting Americans. Even if the majority of Americans wouldn’t support gay marriage, this woman has done and said some pretty terrible things by any-ones standards.

Crash and burn. Like Palin even with guidance she will crash and burn.

This is superb news for our nation. I hope she stays at the top and wins the nomination. Obama will take all 50 states. What has happened to Minnesota? Where are these nut jobs coming from? Is there a virus being transmitted by mosquitos that we have yet to learn about?

The good news is that we will probably see less than plenty of Pawlenty. The bad news is that if the economy goes into a double dip it would be hard for Obama to win. Can you imagine a President Bachman? OMG!

She may lead likely Republican primary voters now but her purpose within the GOP is to rally the ultra-conservative and tea party base while making the real Republican nominee look reasonable.

I sense a little hostility here. Are you afraid of having an smart, attractive woman in the White House? She is more qualified than Obama ever was. She would do a great job.
She’s made gaffes, but so has Obama. Libs think Obama is such a great orator, but all he’s doing is reading a teleprompter. Whoopie. Get him off the cuff, and he’s full of uh,uh,uh’s, and can barely put a complete sentence together. He’s been in “57 states”, he pronounced the “ps” in corpsman…2x, he said “Israel is a friend of Israel”…the list goes on. They’re just gaffes and slips of the tongue. Everyone in politics has done it.

She’s a religious fundamentalist that would destroy our democracy and replace it with a Christian version of Iran. I find that repellant not attractive. But then I don’t vote based on a candidate’s ability to apply false eyelashes and makeup.
Praise Jebus, God hates a weak foundation, Amen.
