Minnesota’s Bachmann wants to bring ‘Iowa voice’ to White House
Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 3:13 pm
Rep. Michele Bachmann announced she will formally enter the presidential race in a speech on Monday in her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa. Though Bachmann represents Minnesota in Congress, a position she has held since 2007, she said she wants to win the White House to be a voice for Iowa.
She told Radio Iowa on Thursday that she will be visiting Waterloo on Monday to announce her presidential bid. “This is an Iowan who wants to take an Iowa voice to the White House,” said Bachmann, who has lived in Minnesota since before high school.
“I want to be there to recognize and thank the people of Iowa for everything they have given to me and in particular their morals, their values, their character qualities because that has served me throughout my life,” Bachmann said. “It’s guided me as a mother, as a businesswoman, as a tax lawyer, as a foster parent. It’s guided me as a member of Congress, and those values will guide me as president of the United States.”
She added, “This is an Iowan who wants to take an Iowa voice to the White House. It’s historic and I would like Iowa to be a part of this and come along with me on this journey.”
Bachmann campaign announcement will come a day before President Obama visits Davenport.

When she washes out of the presidential races- after her forensics coaches give up- I’d like to see her take back all her claims to still be an Iowan.

Well Michele since you want to go all the way, expect to see a lot more stuff like this:
“The Crazy Book Banning Lady Who Wants to be President”

You brought this on all by yourself. You have no one to blame but yourself. You will be shredded by those who see you for who you really are.
And we will be laughing our a$$es off watching you go up in flames.
Get the bowl of popcorn. It’s going to be a fun time for all.

I’m reminded of the old saw “who’s minding the melon patch” and how does the MN sixth district feel about the Iowan, who I have read, has missed more votes than any other representative.
I don’t think the sixth is getting their money’s worth. That would be two cents.
Big Hair, Bad Makeup and a motor mouth, whew, that Marcus must be exceptional, or if the rumors are true…

i almost feel sorry for all of the chumps in the sixth district tha have supported her. at the very least she could have made her announcement in stillwater or st. cloud. she has done little for the folks in the sixth, and, not much for the rest of us, one would think that at least she could acknowledge the folks that put her in a position to run, and, the state that has been her home. just like palin leaving alaska, and, buying a home in arizona, these women have no loyalty at all to the hardworking people who pay their salaries. this is all about raising a huge warchest to use to promote michelle, my guess she will use the millions she raises to come back here and run for the senate. it is too bad that the money she raises for her presidential ambitions can be used to run her campaign back here in minnesota.

woodbuck, she didn’t even have her re-election party in her own district. She had it in Bloomington so the press wouldn’t have to travel so far from the airport. She really doesn’t give a sweet patootie about the people in her own district.

MB’s parents were Democrats in IA but something happened to her in MN—she became born again and a right-wing nut job. Please don’t send her back to IA. IA already has to deal with Steve Nut-case King!

I hope she wins the primary. Then we give her a microphone, make her comfortable and ask her where dinosaur fossils came from. Her answer, if her handlers don’t snatch that mic from her hands, will horrify every reasonable voter in the country. The sixth gets a new Rep, Obama gets four more years and the US is semi safe from religious zealotry for a while. Win win.
Praise Jebus, God hates science, Amen.
