Melendez wants to continue to lead

Current Minnesota State Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party Chair Brian Melendez will be running again. Melendez said that he wants to make a few more changes but intends to keep some things that have worked well. “The biggest change that I have made, adding a permanent field director in each congressional district, is one that I still fully support,

Another shot I think he’s done a great job but mostly I have been really impressed with the way he takes control of some of the meetings. And he got Hatch to shut up when he’d gone over his time limit (nothing makes me a crankier blogger than people who never say anything but never stop talking), and anyone who can do that..well they are fantastic!

Hard to argue with Melendez keeping the job… If not for Hatch’s meltdown, it would’ve been darn-near a sweep. As-is, all the DFL did last year was crush the GOP. I may not be Melendez’s biggest fan, but he’s earned another shot if he wants it.
