Bachmann’s campaign loses more staff

The presidential campaign of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann announced that Republican pollster Ed Goeas has left her campaign, the third high-profile resignation for the campaign in a month.

Bachmann’s spokesman told the Associated Press that Goeas would return to Bachmann’s congressional office.

“Given the changing caucus and primary schedule, we will not be utilizing full-time polling consultants and (will) concentrate heavily on retail politics in Iowa,” said Alice Stewart, a Bachmann spokeswoman. “Ed will work on several projects with us this month, then we shift focus to Iowa and he will shift to other projects not associated with the campaign.”

Bachmann campaign manager Ed Rollins and deputy campaign manager David Polyansky left the campaign in September.

The move of campaign staff to Bachmann’s congressional office, as reported by the AP, gives credence to recent concerns that Bachmann’s campaign is running out of cash, as Politico reported. Her recent videos have been largely low-budget affairs, as opposed the cinematic efforts released earlier in her campaign. Financial disclosures aren’t due until the middle of the month.

Bachmann’s campaign has been spiraling downwards since her victory in the Iowa Straw Poll in August.

This has to give Michele Bachmann supportors and what remaining Presidential Campaign the warm fuzzies. Marcus must be so proud of Bachman on this one.

According to the LA Times , when she recently thanked a caller on a radio show who said he’d rather vote for infamous serial killer Charles Manson over President Obama.

“Hey, thank you for saying that,”Bachmann replied.

This slip-up is just the latest in a series of blunders that have hobbled Bachmann’s campaign and sent her poll numbers spiraling downwards. Interestingly, this is not even the first serial killer-related gaffe Michele Bachmann has been caught up in. In June, she told Fox News, “John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit that I have, too.” The John Wayne from Waterloo is John Wayne Gacy, the notorious serial killer who murdered 33 teenage boys and young men.

Do 6th CD voters still want to support Michele Bachmann? You betcha they do!

Sounds as if Bachmann’s solution to her financial problems is to let the taxpayer pick up the tab for those campaign aids she can no longer afford.
