Rep. Michele Bachmann is scheduled to return to Minnesota next week, but not to her district. Instead, she’ll be hosting a fundraiser at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis.

The fundraiser includes a town hall for $50 admission as well as a higher priced reception. Bachmann’s campaign said the goal is to help Bachmann win the Iowa Caucuses next year.

“While weekly polls have fluctuated between front runners, I am the only conservative candidate who has been consistent and straightforward in seeking the Republican nomination. With your help, we won the Iowa Straw Poll and we can win the caucus,” said an email to Bachmann’s supporters. “We are also doing all we can to invest resources and expand our reach in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Florida and other key states. By attending this event in Minneapolis, you will help us keep up the fight in Iowa and continue to grow our base of grassroots support all across the country.”

And the earlier date of the caucuses has necessitated a faster fundraising pace. “With the date of the Iowa caucus moving up, it is critical that we double the pace of my campaign in order to be successful in Iowa. I’m counting on the involvement of my Minnesota friends and supporters like you at this critical time.”

Bachmann sent out a campaign video for the event:

Ticket prices for the town hall and reception begin at $50 just for the town hall and $5,000 for a private reception.

$50 for the town hall meeting?? That’s very un-American isn’t it? Imagine every small town meeting across the country charging admission to speak your mind. (She’s desperate for cash)

Once, just once I would like to see Bachmann make an appearance where the general population could attend – not only her supporters. She wouldn’t have the guts.

We can only hope the glitter campaign can find the money to attend… but then the thugs she has will probably cordon off any access for the under $5k crowd.

Wow, the woman being paid a very good salary to represent a major population center in this state is going to grace us with her presence, but not as the Representative of the people but as Candidate for another office seeking money to continue her ill fated campaign. Wow.

This woman has had her hand out for most of her adult life.

What has she done to deserve such recognition???
