Bachmann decries Obama, shuts out local press in Iowa stop
Rep. Michele Bachmann took her presidential campaign to Iowa over the holiday weekend, using a stop in Carroll to bash President Obama over “shovel-ready” stimulus projects and praising the tea party movement. But, despite trying to convey that she’d be more accessible and less choreographed than Obama, she didn’t field any questions from the audience and refused to take questions from local media, a distinction that puts her alone among all candidates of either party in the last six presidential election cycles.
