Rep. Michele Bachmann hit Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace to talk about repealing health care reform and defend her stance that President Obama may hold anti-American views (though she says it’s anti-American “policies”). She also said, “If you look at the approval numbers for President Obama, he’s fallen faster and farther than any previous president in the polling.”

Wallace began the interview by asking Bachmann if she had any reservations about calling Obama a radical with anti-American views.

WALLACE: Again, I guess the question is a matter of rhetoric — anti-American, the most radical. You don’t have any problem saying that?

BACHMANN: I think these policies are among the most radical we have ever seen in the history of the country. I mean, clearly, the country has never gone this far in taking over this much of the private economy. And it is changing the way that we’re doing business in the United States forever. And I don’t think it’s going in a good direction.

WALLACE: But can it — obviously, you strongly — and a lot of Americans strongly disagree with the president’s policies. Can’t you disagree with his policies without saying that he’s anti-American?

BACHMANN: Well, I didn’t say that he was anti-American when I was on Sean Hannity’s show. That is — I said that his policies are radical. And I think they are.

But T-Paw also touched on the looming U.S. Senate recount in Minnesota. Despite widespread frothing in conservative circles over the last two weeks, Pawlenty acknowledged that there’s zero evidence of ballot shenanigans.

“We have to be clear on this: as of this moment, there is no actual evidence of wrongdoing or fraud in the process,” he told host Chris Wallace. “If there is, it will get rooted out and identified aggressively.”

Pawlenty also admitted that widespread reports of joy-riding ballots — which the governor helped to legitimize — were a myth. “There was a news report in Minnesota that the ballot- in-the-trunk story has now been retracted, that it wasn’t accurate,” he said.
